Young Audiences teaching artist group, Ladies First Big Band will perform their 7th Annual Concert, “Women of Jazz by Women of Jazz.”
Ladies First Jazz Combo (a smaller group that performs for Young Audiences) was formed in 1996. The all female quintet is led by award winning bassist Jennifer May who has toured the globe. She is joined by co-founder, Peggy Scalzo - drums Jennie Jones - saxophone and vocals, Laurie Bordonaro - keyboards and vocals, and Julie Windon - trumpe. The Big Band will perform March 28.
